Launch your career as a Repairs & Maintenance Coordinator!

Little Peoples is seeking a motivated and reliable individual looking to develop a career in facilities management and property maintenance through a hands-on traineeship-style role.

Working alongside our experienced Head Office team, the successful applicant will receive practical training and guidance while assisting with the coordination of repairs, maintenance, and general facilities management across our network of childcare centres.

The position will be based at our Head Office in Wollongong, with regular travel to our centres required.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with the coordination of day-to-day repairs and maintenance requests across multiple centres.

· Learn to liaise with contractors, tradespeople, and suppliers to organise maintenance works.

· Assist with obtaining quotes, scheduling works, and following up on completion.

· Attend regular site visits to identify maintenance requirements and assess the condition of facilities.

· Support preventative maintenance programs and general property upkeep.

· Maintain records of maintenance works, contractor activities, and associated costs.

· Work closely with Centre Directors and the Head Office team to help ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.





Requirements

· Current driver's licence essential.

· Willingness and ability to travel regularly between childcare centres.

· Positive communication and organisational skills.

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Interest in facilities management, property maintenance, building operations, or a related field.

· Previous facilities management experience is not required, as full training and support will be provided.

The successful applicant will receive hands-on experience and guidance from our Head Office team, with opportunities to develop skills in:

· Maintenance coordination

· Contractor management

· Property operations

· Facilities administration

· Preventative maintenance planning
