About the role

This newly created position is a hands-on role for someone who likes getting into the detail. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will conduct risk-based audits, phone customers to verify their installations, cross-check claims against our systems and the scheme registries, and help detect and prevent fraud. You will also be Greenbank's face at ESIA meetings and industry events, building our relationships with regulators and keeping us across scheme changes.

Key responsibilities

- Planning and conducting risk-based audits of claims, customer accounts and internal processes.

- Running phone audits with households and businesses to confirm installations and upgrades.

- Cross-checking claims against Bridgeselect, Monday, Xero and the REC, VEU and other registries and reviewing installation evidence.

- Investigating red flags and discrepancies and supporting fraud detection and prevention.

- Preparing explicit reports for the Operations Manager and tracking recommendations through to completion.

- Supporting regulator audits and Requests for Information.

- Attending ESIA meetings, industry events and regulator sessions, and reporting back on scheme changes.

- Helping improve our controls, SOPs, audit scripts and system checks.

About you

- 2-3 years of experience in compliance, audit, quality assurance, risk or investigations, ideally in a regulated industry.





- A sound understanding of internal controls, risk management and audit methods.

- An investigative mindset and exceptional attention to detail - you notice when things do not add up.

- Confidence on the phone and a professional manner.

- Clear written communication and the ability to report findings simply to senior management.

- Confidence representing a business with industry bodies and regulators.

- Strong Excel skills, integrity and sound judgement.

- A degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.

- Knowledge of environmental energy schemes.

- Experience in the solar, battery, energy efficiency or environmental services industry.
