South Cairns Sports Club is looking for a casual chef to join our team in Bentley Park, located approximately 12 km south of Cairns. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef in a rapid-moving kitchen. We’re after someone who genuinely enjoys putting out great food and being a part of a close-knit team.
What you'll do
- Prepare for service, cook and plate meals, and check each dish for taste, quality and presentation.
- Check deliveries, rotate stock and store food at the correct temperatures.
- Cater for allergies, intolerances and other dietary requirements.
- Work with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly.
- Guide less experienced staff and follow safe food handling, hygiene and WHS practices.
About you
You have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and experience working through busy services. You're a reliable team member and available for evening and weekend shifts.
