Your Opportunity

In this role as a Works Labourer, you will be performing general labouring duties as directed to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Works & Parks Department such as (but not limited to) completing construction and maintenance work on roads, bridges and associated Council assets, and preparing worksites prior to commencement and clean-up following completion of works.

STATUS:

Permanent, Full-time

HOURS OF WORK:

76 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight | 6:00am – 3:00pm

PAY LEVEL:

$2,596.96 per fortnight (Level 3) + Construction Allowance ($84.70 per fortnight)

Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.

Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- Legal right to live and work in Australia

- A Class C (car) licence or greater is required in this role.

- An Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction Card (White Card); or the ability to obtain.

- Current certificate for Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Parts 1 & 2; or have the ability to obtain.

- General labouring skills, including recent experience undertaking manual handling, labouring and work in the outdoors for extended periods.
