Casual Remote Pilot (Drone Operator) | Industrial and Mining Inspections

About the Role

Element Geospatial is a Western Australian mine surveying and geospatial business. We are looking for experienced casual remote pilots to support one of our major clients on drone inspection aerial projects across industrial and mining sites.

Engagements are casual, 2 to 5 days per week, short to medium term, with potential for longer-term involvement. Candidates based in the Peel or South West regions are preferred. Perth based candidates are also welcome to apply.

What you'll be doing

- Flying a range of DJI drones for inspection and aerial projects

- Working on active mine and industrial sites under industry leading procedures and site safety systems

- Working with clients and site stakeholders to plan and deliver flights

- Working as part of a team to solve problems on the run and deliver a solutions-based outcome

- Bringing ideas on how drone technology can do more for our clients

What We’re Looking For

Essential

- Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) with a multirotor rating up to 25 kg

- Minimum 50 hours of logged flight time

- Experience working on mine sites and industrial sites

- Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle





- Full right to work in Australia

- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen

- Willing to complete a verification of competency (VOC) and our onboarding process

Highly regarded

- 100+ hours logged across commercial and industrial applications

- Medium category rating (25 to 150 kg) and experience on heavy-lift platforms such as the DJI Agras T50 or T100

- Flyability Elios 3 experience for confined space and internal inspection

- Is punctual, presentable and a transparent communicator with clients and site personnel
