About The Role:

Southern Forest Machinery is one of the South West's leading dealers in ATVs and UTVs, including WA's #1 selling Landboss dealer and WA's #1 selling Hydralada dealer.

We're looking for a trade qualified, hands on Small Motors Mechanic to take ownership of our small motors division. This is a great prospect to put your skills to work across a diverse range of equipment, take pride in quality workmanship, and make a real impact in a supportive, family owned business.

Working alongside our Workshop Operations Manager, you'll have the chance to take the reins of this area of the workshop, drive its success and make the role your own, with the support of an experienced team and excellent workshop facilities.

The division specialises in the final assembly of new machines, servicing, repairs and accessory installations across a range of equipment, including:

- ATVs and quad bikes – all brands

- UTVs and side-by-sides – all brands

- Lawn mowers – all brands

- Elevated lifting platforms – Hydralada

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, service and repair ATVs, UTVs, lawn mowers and other small motors equipment.

- Assemble recent machines and install accessories to supplier specifications.

- Complete pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.

- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.

- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop presentation.

- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.

- Support and share your knowledge with trades assistants and apprentices, helping develop their skills and confidence.





- Work closely with the Workshop Operations Manager to ensure the division runs efficiently and delivers quality outcomes.

About You:

We're on the hunt for a proactive, dynamic and small motors dynamo who is confident in their abilities and skill set. A small motors leader who brings energy and enthusiasm to each and every day.

Ideally, you'll have:

- A trade qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics (Must have minimum Certificate III or equivalent).

- Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing quad bikes and UTVs.

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a practical, solutions focused approach.

- A reliable, self motivated attitude and the ability to manage your workload.

- Good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.

- A strong focus on quality workmanship, safety and attention to detail.

- A willingness to support and mentor trades assistants and apprentices.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to take ownership, contribute to a great team and help grow our small motors division.
