An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Foreman to join one of the longest standing builders in Queensland Builders on a upcoming $25M social housing project based in Chermside.
Working closely with an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the project, helping coordinate subcontractors, maintain construction programmes and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is an excellent chance for a hands-on Foreman who enjoys leading subcontractors and contributing to the successful delivery of a meaningful project within Brisbane's construction market.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors across all stages of construction.
- Managing daily site activities to ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements.
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site safety procedures.
- Conducting site inspections and identifying potential issues before they impact project delivery.
- Coordinating materials, labour and equipment to maintain productivity.
- Working closely with the Site Manager to resolve site issues and keep construction moving.
- Maintaining clear communication with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Foreman on commercial construction projects.
- A strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site coordination.
- The ability to lead subcontractors and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and programme delivery.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a Site Manager and broader project team.
- A trade background and relevant construction qualifications will be highly regarded.
Experience delivering multi-residential, apartment or social housing projects would be advantageous.
