About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow Rockcote’s presence across the Greater Brisbane market.

Rockcote is a family-owned Australian business with over 47 years of experience in render, texture coatings and complete coating systems. We manufacture our own products, backed by consistent quality, performance and technical support.

This is a genuine current business development opportunity for someone who enjoys identifying projects early, influencing specifications and converting opportunities into profitable outcomes. You will take ownership of your market, building a strong project pipeline and developing opportunities from initial engagement through to successful delivery.

Responsibilities

- Identify, develop and secure new project opportunities across Greater Brisbane.
- Build strategic relationships across the construction, building products and design industries.
- Develop and manage a robust project pipeline to achieve sustainable revenue growth.
- Promote Rockcote’s coating and render systems through consultative, solution-based selling.
- Influence project specifications and system selection through product knowledge and technical advice.
- Coordinate site visits and work with customers and internal teams to support successful project outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.




- Represent Rockcote at industry events, trade shows, site meetings and product training sessions.

Requirements

- Proven success in business development or new business sales, with a track record of achieving targets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new markets, build sales pipelines and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience in construction, building products, architectural, engineering or related industries.
- Experience with consultative selling and influencing project specifications or product selection.
- Initiative, resilience and accountability, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Brisbane region.
