Role Description The Junior Event Photographer (Contract) is a contract role based in Melbourne, VIC. This role is responsible for capturing high-quality images at events, including corporate functions, private celebrations, and branded experiences, following brief and creative direction from senior team members. Day-to-day tasks include preparing equipment, traveling to event locations, setting up shots, photographing guests and key moments, and assisting with basic image selection and editing. The Junior Event Photographer will interact with clients and event participants in a professional and friendly manner, support senior photographers and event staff,



and ensure all deliverables meet EP Group’s quality and brand standards.

Most work is on Friday and Saturday evenings.

GEAR REQUIREMENTS: You must own a Sony A7III and 24-70 GM II, and flash (or similar) to be considered for this role.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational skills in Photography and Event Photography, with an eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
- Ability to capture Portraits of individuals and groups in dynamic event environments.
- Competence in basic Image Editing using industry-standard software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop) to prepare images for delivery.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, be approachable, and represent the brand professionally in office.
- Reliable access to and familiarity with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, and related equipment.
- Strong time management, punctuality, and the ability to work to event schedules and deadlines.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by event bookings.
- Previous event or assistant photography experience is advantageous; a portfolio or sample work is strongly preferred.
