About the company

Our client is a fast-growing deep tech company in Melbourne, building technology that solves hard problems. There are about 60 people in their office, the team is growing quickly, and they care about keeping a strong, connected culture as they scale.

The role

This role is the heartbeat of their office. You'll keep the workplace running smoothly, but your real job is making sure every person who walks through the door feels welcome, supported and part of the team. You'll be the person everyone comes to when they need something, and the one who brings people together.

The company moves fast and things come up constantly. You'll need to jump in, adapt on the fly and keep up with the pace without losing the personal touch.

What you'll do

- Be the go-to person for anything people need in the office, and handle requests quickly and warmly
- Plan and run office events, team gatherings and celebrations that bring people together and build connection
- Own the onboarding experience so new starters feel set up, welcomed and part of the team from day one
- Look after culture and engagement, notice how people are feeling and find ways to keep morale and connection strong
- Manage the day-to-day running of the office: facilities, supplies, maintenance and vendors
- Handle procurement of office equipment, supplies and services,



and keep costs and suppliers in check
- Set and maintain office standards so the space is clean, organised, safe and a place people want to be
- Help shape the workplace as we grow, from space planning to new rituals and ways of working
- Work with leadership on initiatives that improve the employee experience

About you

- You're a natural people person. You're approachable, warm and genuinely interested in others
- You're the person people come to when they need something, and you enjoy being that person
- You thrive in a rapid-paced environment and can switch priorities without missing a beat
- You're proactive. You spot what needs doing and do it before anyone asks
- You're highly organised and can juggle events, requests and operations at the same time
- You communicate clearly and confidently with everyone, from new starters to leadership
- You have experience in workplace experience, office management, employee experience, people operations or a similar role
- Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus
