About Altura Learning
At the intersection of education, technology and care, Altura Learning is changing the way care professionals learn, grow and deliver exceptional care.
With more than 20 years of experience and over 175,000 learners across Australia, New Zealand and international markets, Altura is a leader in innovative digital learning solutions, helping care organisations build capability, strengthen performance and deliver better outcomes.
Owned by Bolton Clarke, one of Australia's largest not-for-profit aged care providers, Altura operates independently with its own Board, combining the strength of an established organisation with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a specialist learning business.
With a close-knit team of 30 people, Altura offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where fresh thinking is encouraged, people are empowered to make decisions and every individual has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Purpose-driven, progressive and ambitious, Altura is helping shape the future of learning across the care sector.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is an opportunity to take ownership of the people and culture function within a energetic, purpose-driven business.
As Altura's dedicated HR professional, you will be a trusted partner to leadership, influencing people decisions, strengthening culture and ensuring great ideas translate into meaningful action.
Your remit will span the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance management, workforce planning and organisational change.
You will provide commercially sound, practical advice while building the frameworks, processes and practices that enable people and the business to perform at their best.
This is a genuinely hands-on role where getting things done is just as important as providing sound advice.
You will be at the heart of the business,
managing the day-to-day HR function, driving recruitment, navigating employee relations matters, supporting leaders and ensuring people processes run seamlessly. No two days will look the same, and you'll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, juggling competing priorities and taking ownership from start to finish.
You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems and turn plans into action, with the added benefit of access to Bolton Clarke's broader People and Culture expertise when needed.
About The Person
We're looking for someone who doesn't just know what great HR looks like, but knows how to make it happen.
You are an experienced, commercially minded HR generalist who combines strong technical expertise with sound judgement and high emotional intelligence. You bring comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment legislation and proven experience across employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR operations.
Above all, you're a doer. Proactive, resourceful and execution-focused, you thrive on rolling up your sleeves, solving problems and delivering results. You're equally comfortable influencing the CEO, navigating difficult conversations and getting into the operational detail. You balance empathy with accountability and know when to challenge, when to support and when to act.
You'll enjoy the pace, variety and autonomy of a smaller business, where there is nowhere to hide but every opportunity to make your mark.
Experience in a standalone HR role or within a small to medium-sized organisation will be highly regarded, along with relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources.
If you're looking for an HR role where you can genuinely influence, take ownership and see the impact of your work, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
