Senior SEO Specialist – In-House

Full time | On-site in Ballarat | Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm

We are an established Australian business operating multiple brands across machinery, equipment and food trailers. We are seeking an experienced SEO specialist to take ownership of organic search performance across our websites, working full-time from our new Ballarat site.

This is a senior, hands-on position for someone who can develop a transparent strategy, implement improvements and demonstrate measurable results. You will work directly with management and coordinate with our website developer where required.

The role

- Manage SEO across our websites, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content planning and local SEO.

- Develop and deliver a prioritised SEO plan for each website, with clear actions, timeframes and measurable objectives.

- Research commercially relevant keywords that attract prospective customers and generate qualified enquiries.

- Identify and resolve issues affecting crawling, indexing, website structure, internal linking and organic performance.

- Improve product, category and location pages, and identify useful content opportunities.

- Review backlink profiles and manage transparent, relevant link acquisition.

- Monitor performance using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and appropriate SEO tools.

- Provide concise weekly progress updates and monthly performance reports.

- Maintain a record of completed changes, results and upcoming priorities.

What we are looking for

- Substantial hands-on SEO experience, with examples of websites you have personally improved.

- Strong technical SEO knowledge and practical experience with WordPress.

- Advanced ability to interpret Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console data.

- Proven keyword research,

- The ability to explain your recommendations clearly, including their purpose and expected impact.

- The ability to work independently while collaborating with management and our developer.

How success will be measured

We value commercially relevant results, supported by transparent reporting. Your performance will be assessed against agreed objectives covering relevant organic visibility, qualified Australian traffic, organic enquiries and delivery of the approved SEO plan.

Reports must clearly explain what was completed, what changed, what the data shows and what should happen next.

All SEO activity must be transparent and documented. Any proposed paid placements or link acquisition must be disclosed and approved.

Location and hours

This is a full-time, on-site employee position based at our new Ballarat premises.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm.
