About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Manager to join the team at Harvey Black Group in Toowoomba, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the service department, ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction are met.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and coordinate the work of the service team of approximately 20 staff, for both Light and Heavy Vehicles, including technicians and support staff

2. Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer service

3. Oversee the scheduling and allocation of work to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance

4. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement

5. Liaise with customers to address any concerns or issues, and maintain strong relationships

6. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards

7. Contribute to the overall success of the business by providing strategic input and recommendations

What we're looking for

1. Extensive experience in a similar service management role within the automotive industry

2. Minimum 5-7 years of service management experience in the automotive industry

3. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems and repairs

4.



Experience with all vehicle types including light and heavy vehicles

5. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both customers and the service team

6. Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement

8. Relevant qualifications in automotive or a related field would be highly regarded
