Redpath Australia has been selected as the preferred mining contractor for the Northparkes E22 Block Cave Development Project in Parkes, NSW. We are seeking experienced Underground Loader Operators to join our mining operations team and contribute to one of Australia's most significant underground mining developments.
About the Role
As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of underground load haul dump (LHD) equipment to support mine development and production activities. Working as part of a high-performing underground mining team, you will play a critical role in maintaining productivity while upholding Redpath's commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate underground loaders (LHDs) safely and efficiently
- Muck development and production headings
- Transport and manage ore and waste material underground
- Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Maintain production targets while adhering to safety standards
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
- Work collaboratively with mining crews and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with site procedures and operational requirements
- Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous underground mining experience operating loaders/LHDs
- Experience mucking development and/or production headings
- Solid understanding of underground mining operations
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Ability to work effectively in a high-performing team environment
- Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets
- Current Australian work rights
- Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
