Secondary Teacher – Psychology & English

Investigator College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join our team for the 2027 school year.

The position will primarily involve teaching SACE Psychology (Years 11–12), alongside some Secondary English classes in 2027. We welcome applications from teachers with a range of subject backgrounds who have the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to teach Psychology.

This is a 0.8–1.0 FTE opportunity, with flexibility depending on the successful applicant.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subjects, builds positive relationships with students and brings an engaging, supportive approach to the classroom.

About the role

The successful applicant will:

- Deliver engaging and high-quality SACE Psychology lessons, alongside some Secondary English teaching.

- Plan and deliver learning experiences that cater to a range of student abilities and learning needs.

- Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.

- Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged and encouraged to achieve their best.

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support learning.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider College community.

About you

We are looking for someone who:





- Holds recognised teaching qualifications and current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.

- Has experience teaching SACE Psychology or affinity to the subject, or relevant subject knowledge and a strong interest in teaching it.

- Is willing and able to teach some Secondary English as part of their 2027 teaching load.

- Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom teaching practices.

- Builds positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

- Brings enthusiasm, flexibility and a genuine commitment to student learning and wellbeing.

Previous experience teaching English is not essential, and we encourage applications from teachers with a range of teaching backgrounds.
