Project Manager – Commercial & High-End Residential HVAC

As our business continues to grow across Melbourne, the South East and the Mornington Peninsula, we're searching for an experienced Project Manager to take the lead on our commercial projects, while also looking after our high-end residential work.

The Role

This role is mainly commercial, with the variety of high-end residential projects in the mix. You'll manage jobs from award through to commissioning and handover, including:

- Commercial fit-outs, upgrades and plant replacements

- Apartment complexes , Sports facilities, hospitality, office and educational facilities

- VRF & VRV systems

- Package units (PACs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs)

- Ventilation systems

- Mechanical and refrigeration pipework

- Plant room installations

- Premium ducted and split systems for high-end architectural homes

- Accurate cost tracking, variations and claims

Your Responsibilities

- Manage commercial and high-end residential projects end to end – scope, program, budget, procurement, delivery, commissioning and handover

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, builders and project managers

- Build strong working relationships with our install team, technicians and subcontractors, and keep them well organised with clear plans and scope

- Schedule team and subcontractors to keep jobs on time and on budget

- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, and manage RFIs, variations and submissions

- Order equipment and materials via purchase orders

- Track job costs, manage variations and prepare progress claims

- Run regular site visits to check quality, safety and progress

- Write and implement project policies, procedures and systems

- Keep projects moving on time and within program at all





What We're Looking For

- Experience as a Project Manager in commercial HVAC and mechanical services (non-negational)

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical services, VRF/VRV, packaged units, ducted systems, ventilation and refrigerant pipework and water sourced package units.

- Confidence dealing with builders on commercial sites and with high-end residential clients

- Commercial know-how – budgets, cost tracking, variations and claims

- A natural leader who earns the respect of installers and trades

- Organised, proactive and able to run several jobs at once

- A mechanical service and air-conditioning background qualification

- Current Australian Driver's Licence and White Card
