We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our dedicated team at mecwacare Gregory Lodge, our 67-room residential aged care home in Flemington. There may also be opportunities to support our teams at Rositano House in Richmond and Vincent House in Westmeadows.

About the role:
- Casual position
- Rostered shifts may be scheduled between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, across weekdays and weekends.
- Each of our homes is well connected by public transport:
Gregory Lodge, Flemington – a short walk from Newmarket Station (Craigieburn line) and the Route 57 tram on Racecourse Road. Rositano House, Richmond – tram stop right at the front door on Church Street (Route 78) and Vincent House, Westmeadows – serviced by local buses, including routes 477 and 902, with connections to Broadmeadows Station
What you bring:
- Previous experience in aged Care.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices (Release 1).
- HLTFSE005 Apply and monitor food safety requirements (Release 1).
- HLTFSE007 Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace (Release1).
- Food Safety Supervisor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff.
- Experience in working to a set budget
- Ability to provide a high standard of customer service
- Availability to work weekends and weekdays.
- Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups.
