Receptionists / Retail Assistants – World Gym Canning Vale

Job Summary
As a Receptionist / Retail Assistant, you will be the face of the club, delivering outstanding customer service while supporting front desk, retail, and café operations. You will assist members and prospects, drive retail sales, prepare café items, and help maintain a clean, welcoming gym setting, all while contributing to a positive and energetic member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive retail sales and meet KPIs in the Pro Shop and Barbell Café.
- Complete POS retail sales with a focus on upselling and cross-selling.
- Educate members in product and supplement benefits. Experience in this field is advantageous!
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospects and members.
- Provide exceptional customer service - greeting members by name, handling enquiries with expertise and consistently going above and beyond to meet members needs and exceed expectations.
- Answer phone calls and resolve general enquiries.
- Prepare shakes and coffees at the Barbell Café.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the gym.
- Conduct stock takes and maintain retail displays.
- Follow monthly retail promotions.
Requirements
- Experience in proving the highest level of customer service.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of or interest in the fitness industry and supplementation - essential.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Hold a current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Availability for shifts between 6am-9:30pm weekdays and 7am-6pm weekends - essential.
