Medico-Legal Services Australia (MLS Australia) is a growing medico-legal transcription and quality assurance provider supporting highly regarded medico-legal organisations across Australia.

We're looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented medico-legal typist to join our friendly team on a subcontractor basis.

At MLS Australia, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality reports, maintaining excellent turnaround times and providing a supportive working environment for our subcontractors.

About the Role

This is a fully remote, subcontractor position offering a consistent workload for someone available 4–5 days per week.

You will be responsible for accurately transcribing medico-legal reports from audio dictations, ensuring all reports meet the required formatting, templates and style guidelines.

We're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has exceptional attention to detail and is committed to producing accurate, high-quality reports.

What We're Looking For

- Previous medico-legal transcription experience is essential.

- Excellent typing accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.

- A strong focus on quality and consistency.

- Excellent spelling, grammar and knowledge of medical terminology.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word,



including document formatting and working with templates.

- Ability to adapt to various client-specific style guides and instructions.

- Friendly, approachable and skilled communication skills.

- Reliability, excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines.

- Availability to work a minimum of four days per week.

- Own home office setup, including dual monitors, transcription software and a foot pedal.

- MUST be based in Australia have an ABN.
