Employment Type: Temporary Full Time
Position Classification: Health Mgr Lvl 4
Remuneration: $153,559 - $182,954 (plus superannuation and leave loading)
Hours Per Week: 38
Requisition ID: REQ700571

About the opportunity
As Lead, Health Facility Planning, you’ll play a key role in shaping healthcare environments across Health Infrastructure’s capital program. You’ll bring together clinical, operational and spatial planning expertise to help ensure facility designs are fit for purpose and support safe, efficient and sustainable patient care.

Working collaboratively with project teams, Health Entities, the NSW Ministry of Health and industry partners, you’ll provide expert facility planning advice, navigate complex design challenges and help drive continuous improvement and design standardisation across major capital projects.

In addition to project-specific advice, you will contribute to statewide facility planning initiatives including design standardisation, benchmarking, lessons learned programs and the ongoing development of planning guidance. Drawing on your expertise in the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines (AusHFG), you will help influence design quality and consistency across the NSW Health capital portfolio

This is a fixed term full-time opportunity until 24 October 2027. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to appoint to similar future roles (ongoing or temporary), or to create a Talent Pool for roles that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you
Bringing significant experience in health facility planning, you'll combine strong clinical, operational and spatial planning expertise with a demonstrated understanding of AusHFG.

You'll be comfortable providing authoritative advice on complex planning and design issues, influencing key decisions and balancing competing stakeholder priorities across major capital projects. Experience contributing to planning guidance, benchmarking, standardisation initiatives, research, post occupancy evaluation or other quality improvement programs would be highly regarded.

Success in this role calls for strong communication and relationship-building skills, combined with the ability to manage multiple activities and deliver high-quality outcomes within firm timeframes. A collaborative approach, sound judgement and a focus on continuous improvement will support your contribution to more consistent, innovative approaches to facility planning and design.
