Reporting directly to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations and lead project delivery from commencement through to completion. This is a practical, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, coordinating trades, maintaining project momentum and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Managing all day-to-day site operations
- Coordinating and booking subcontractors
- Managing site programmes and short-term look-ahead schedules
- Ordering project materials and coordinating concrete pours and deliveries
- Conducting site inductions and managing onsite subcontractor compliance
- Implementing and maintaining WHS requirements
- Managing site quality control and defect prevention
- Liaising with project managers, consultants and clients as required
- Monitoring project progress and identifying potential delays
- Managing site logistics, access and deliveries
About you
- Previous experience as a Site Manager,
Foreman or Leading Foreman within commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects
- Excellent trade coordination and subcontractor management skills
- A solid understanding of construction sequencing and programming
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and site compliance requirements
- The ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality outcomes
