Overview
We're looking for an experienced maintenance leader to take ownership of a mobile plant maintenance contract supporting a large CAT fleet in the Gunnedah region.
This is not a hands-on role.
You'll be leading the operation through two direct-report Supervisors, allowing you to focus on people leadership, client relationships, maintenance performance, reporting and contract delivery rather than day-to-day supervision.
You'll be responsible for ensuring maintenance schedules are delivered, fleet availability targets are achieved, client expectations are met, and the maintenance team has the support required to perform at a high level.
This role will suit a Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent or senior maintenance leader looking to step into a broader management position with greater operational responsibility, client exposure and career progression opportunities.
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualified HD Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Auto Electrician or similar
Strong CAT fleet experience is essential
Minimum 5 years post-trade experience
Minimum 5 years mining industry experience
At least 2 years in a Leading Hand, Supervisor, Superintendent or similar leadership role
Proven experience leading mobile plant maintenance teams within mining environments
Strong understanding of maintenance scheduling, fleet availability and contract performance
Experience managing supervisors, tradespeople and maintenance personnel
Strong reporting, communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage client expectations and deliver operational outcomes
Supervisor qualifications or willingness to obtain them
Highly Regarded
NSW Certificate of Proficiency

Your Day-to-Day
Lead and mentor maintenance supervisors and site maintenance teams
Coordinate maintenance schedules and daily operational activities
Drive fleet availability and maintenance performance
Oversee breakdown management, diagnostics and repair planning
Monitor maintenance KPIs and contract performance
Report operational performance to senior leadership
Manage client relationships and site stakeholder engagement
Review labour allocation, workforce requirements and maintenance planning
Promote a robust safety-first culture across the operation
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, productivity and maintenance outcomes
