Electrical Leading Hand - Industrial Projects
An established electrical project and engineering business is looking to appoint an experiencedElectrical Leading Handto support the delivery of electrical works across mining, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Australia.
This role would suit an experienced electrician who is comfortableleading a crew while remaining hands-on, and who enjoys the variety that comes with project-based work across different sites and customers.
You can based fromNewcastleBrisbane or Mackay, with regular travel to project locations across Queensland, Current South Wales, Western Australia and other regional areas as required.
The Role Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of electrical crews and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinating electricians and site personnel across project works
Remaining hands-on with installation, maintenance and commissioning activities where required
Planning daily work activities, labour requirements, materials and equipment
Coordinating site priorities to ensure project milestones are achieved
Running pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site safety discussions
Ensuring electrical work is completed in accordance with safety, quality and project requirements
Supporting and mentoring tradespeople and apprentices
Troubleshooting technical and operational issues on site
Liaising with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders
Monitoring progress, productivity and resource requirements
Maintaining high standards across tools, vehicles, equipment and site presentation




Identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and project delivery
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically solid, dependable and comfortable taking ownership on site.
Ideally, you will have:
Australian Electrical Trade Qualification
Current electrical licence
Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or senior site electrician
Exposure toHV electrical systems or projects
Experience working within mining, resources, heavy industrial or similar project environments
Strong understanding of electrical safety and site-based risk management
Good planning and organisational skills
Confidence leading crews and allocating daily work
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Willingness to travel regularly and work away from home when projects require
Experience acrossmining infrastructure, power distribution, switchgear, substations, underground electrical systems, commissioning or project installationswould be highly regarded.
