$70,000 to $80,000 p.a. + Super + Overtime + 7 weeks of paid annual leave.
Paid Training & Career Advancement:
Correctional Officers will gain a Cert 3 in Correctional Practice.

About the roles
We're seeking Correctional Officers (COs) with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills to join us at Mount Gambier Prison.
(COs work directly with prisoners).
Our training program is comprehensive and includes training in standard operating procedures, self-defence, radio training, report writing, first aid & CPR, communication skills, incident response, x-ray and ion scan screening, fire training, and more.
Correctional Officers
Our Correctional Officers work directly with prisoners and play a critical role in prisoner case management, monitor their rehabilitation activities, conduct daily searches and counts, undertake security patrols, write case notes and prepare reports.
Rates
- $***** p/h during your training | $***** p/h ($79,899 p.a.) first year after training | $***** p/h ($81,965 p.a.) once fully accredited.
Roster
- 12.5-hour shifts | Mix of weekdays, nights, weekends & public holidays.
What we're looking for




No qualifications or prior experience in corrections is required, it's your life skills that are highly valued in these roles.
We're looking for the following:
Holder of an Australian driver's licence
Physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment
Full Australian working rights
Able to commence in March ****
