Shaping Spaces. Shaping Careers.
At SHAPE WA, we're for building spaces that make a lasting impact – and careers that do too. As one of Western Australia's most trusted construction partners, we've spent more than 36 years delivering fitout, refurbishment, facilities maintenance and new build projects across Perth and regional WA.
You'll play a key role in:
Leading a high-performing estimating team and helping shape the work we pursue across WA. You'll bring commercial insight, clear direction and a sharp eye for opportunity to develop competitive tenders that support sustainable growth and deliver value for our clients.
This is a role for someone who enjoys the pace and challenge of pre-construction, thrives on bringing people together around a winning strategy, and wants to make their mark in an established WA operation with strong local relationships and national backing.
Lead, coach and develop the estimating team through explicit objectives, feedback and performance reviews
Drive high-quality, commercially competitive tender submissions from initial review through to final approval
Lead tender reviews and contribute to bid strategy, subcontractor selection, margin recommendations and market analysis
Partner with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to build trusted, long-term relationships
Monitor tender performance, conversions, profitability and team results, providing clear reporting to management
Improve estimating systems, processes and bid practices to strengthen quality, efficiency and consistency
What you'll bring:
You're a commercially astute estimating leader who sees both the detail and the bigger picture. You know how to turn drawings, specifications and market intelligence into a compelling tender,

while creating an environment where your team can build confidence, capability and momentum.
You'll be comfortable making informed decisions, engaging openly with stakeholders and bringing a practical, solutions-focused approach to every opportunity.
10+ years' experience in estimating or quantity surveying, ideally within fitout and refurbishment
A building-related degree, diploma or trade background, with strong knowledge of trades and services
Proven experience interpreting drawings and specifications for accuracy, buildability and commercial opportunity
Experience developing construction programmes and managing complex, competitive tender submissions
Strong analytical and reporting capability, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore and standard measurement methods
A collaborative leadership style that brings out the best in people and builds trusted partnerships
