Compliance Director - Investment Management - 12 month contract
A senior compliance advisory prospect is available within a global asset management business with capabilities across infrastructure, real estate, credit, fixed income, equities and multi asset investment strategies. Reporting into the regional head of compliance, you will provide practical compliance advice across a broad range of regulatory matters, policies, new product proposals and business initiatives. You will work closely with senior front office and business stakeholders, helping the business navigate regulatory obligations and implement appropriate compliance outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Providing compliance advice across asset management activities with a focus on public funds
Assessing compliance incidents and supporting engagement with regulators where required




Responding to investor due diligence requests relating to managed funds
Managing regulatory enquiries and assessing the impact of regulatory developments
Reviewing new product proposals and supporting implementation activity
Monitoring and testing key controls and processes
Drafting, updating and implementing compliance policies and procedures
Preparing Compliance Committee and Board papers, and managing regulatory findings
About you
Experience in a comparable compliance role within asset management or banking
Relevant risk management or legal experience
Strong understanding of compliance risk management in the Australian regulatory environment
Sound judgement and a practical, detail focused approach
