About the Role
Due to continued growth, the firm is looking for an experienced, people-focused
Senior Manager / Associate Director
to work closely with two Partners in managing key client relationships, overseeing the team and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have genuine influence over your clients,



your team and the broader direction of the firm.
Importantly, this role forms part of the firm's
genuine long-term succession planning
. With one of the Partners looking towards retirement over the coming years, there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to progressively take on greater responsibility, deepen their client and commercial relationships and become an increasingly important part of the firm's future leadership.
This is not an immediate transition, but rather a genuine opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a successful practice. For the right person, there is the potential to ultimately progress towards
Partnership and/or ownership
as part of the firm's succession journey.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing staff workflow and ensuring deadlines are met
Reviewing work files and maintaining high-quality standards
Training, mentoring and developing team members
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Acting as a key point of contact for clients
Providing higher-level tax, accounting and business advisory services
Working closely with the Partners on client strategy and commercial matters
Taking a big-picture view of your clients' businesses and identifying opportunities to add value
Contributing to the strategic growth and development of the practice
Supporting the Partners in developing the team, client base and future leaders of the firm
About You
CA/CPA qualified
Several years' experience at Manager / Senior Manager level within public practice
At least 7 years' public practice accounting experience
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A personable and client-focused approach

A passion for mentoring and developing others
An interest in developing your commercial and business advisory capabilities
The ambition and maturity to take on increasing responsibility within a successful practice
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys building genuine relationships with clients and wants to be more than just a compliance accountant.
