An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Litigation & Disputes to join an international financial services business on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
This is a dedicated disputes and litigation role within a high performing legal team. You will work alongside another Senior Legal Counsel at the same level who also specialises in litigation.
About the role
Manage a range of litigation and disputes, from smaller day-to-day matters through to more significant litigation
Work closely with external litigation firms and legal advisers
Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to the business
Partner with stakeholders across the organisation
Manage matters autonomously and exercise sound commercial judgement
About you
We are looking for a technically strong litigation/disputes lawyer who is commercial,



pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace. You will have:
Strong litigation and disputes experience
Excellent technical legal skills and sound judgement
A practical and commercial approach to legal advice
The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
In-house experience is preferred, however strong private practice candidates will also be considered. Financial services experience would be highly relevant.
12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave
Full-time but would consider part-time candidates (4 days per week)
5 days per week in the office with ad hoc wfh
