Lead Procurement Transformation Initiatives
We are seeking an experienced
Procurement Team Lead
to join a high-profile transformation program for an initial
3-6 month contract
based in Sydney CBD.
This is a business-focused procurement leadership role, ideally suited to someone with a robust background in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes. Experience working as an SAP user within enterprise environments is highly desirable, however this is
not a technical SAP configuration role
.
You will lead procurement initiatives, drive process improvements, and work closely with business stakeholders to support procurement transformation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement transformation and process improvement initiatives
Manage and mentor procurement team members
Drive sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and supplier engagement activities
Work closely with business stakeholders to identify procurement opportunities and deliver value




Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process optimisation
Ensure procurement activities align with governance, compliance, and risk requirements
Manage supplier performance and vendor relationships
Lead workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
Provide procurement expertise and best-practice recommendations
Support project delivery, change management, and business readiness activities
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a Procurement Lead, Procurement Manager, Category Manager, or Procurement Team Lead role
Strong end-to-end procurement and sourcing experience
Experience leading procurement transformation, process improvement, or change initiatives
Strong supplier relationship and vendor management capabilities
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience working within large enterprise environments
Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
Experience using SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, or similar ERP platforms as a business user
Ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders
