3 Months Contract with a Local Authority




Job Purpose
As a
Parks & Countryside Officer
, you will support the maintenance and improvement of parks, open spaces and countryside areas, helping to ensure public spaces are safe, clean and well-presented for residents and visitors.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
Empty litter bins and waste receptacles.
Carry out litter picking across parks and open spaces.
Sweep pathways and public access areas.
Undertake grass cutting and grounds maintenance activities.
Perform hand-weeding of shrub beds and planted areas.
Trim hedges and maintain landscaped areas.
Operate grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
Support the upkeep of parks and recreational facilities.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Work independently and as part of a team to maintain high environmental standards.
Essential Experience Required
Experience in Street Cleansing or Environmental Services.
Experience carrying out grass cutting and horticultural maintenance.
Experience operating ride-on mowers or similar machinery.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Comfortable working independently.
Full UK Driving Licence (up to 3.5 tonnes).
Positive understanding of health and safety procedures.
Additional Information to Note
Monday to Thursday: 07:*******:00- Friday: 07:*******:30.
Full UK Driving Licence Required.
Grounds Maintenance Experience Essential.
We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
