Our client is a well-established Queensland civil contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the state.
Their pipeline is strong and they have a good reputation for delivering quality work, so they're adding an experienced Civil Estimator to the team.
The role
You'll prepare competitive tenders for civil infrastructure projects worth $1-$50 million, working closely with the operations and project delivery teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing first-principles estimates and tender submissions
Completing quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
Getting and assessing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
Building programs, methodologies and risk assessments for tenders
Attending site inspections and tender clarification meetings
Handing over successful tenders to the delivery teams
About you
At least 3-5 years of estimating experience with a civil contractor
Experience tendering for TMR, council and/or private infrastructure works highly regarded.
Solid first-principles estimating skills
A civil engineering or construction qualification or relevant experience
A good eye for detail and the ability to manage several tenders at once
