GP – Women's Health, Breast Medicine & Breast Cancer Survivorship
At Gault Surgery we are seeking a compassionate and experienced General Practitioner to join our team.
This is an opportunity to develop a meaningful clinical portfolio across women's health, breast health, breast cancer screening, breast medicine and breast cancer survivorship, menopause management and preventative health care within a supportive, patient-centred practice environment.
We are looking for a GP who is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care and building long-term relationships with patients. The role would suit someone with an interest in women's health and the ongoing physical, emotional and medical needs of women throughout different stages of life―including those who have completed treatment for breast cancer.
About the role
The successful GP will provide personalised, comprehensive care including:
Comprehensive breast health assessments
Assessment of breast symptoms, including breast pain, lumps, nipple changes and other concerns
Breast cancer screening discussions and risk assessment
Support with appropriate breast imaging and referral pathways
Coordination of mammograms, breast ultrasound, MRI and specialist reviews where clinically indicated
Assessment of personal and family history of breast cancer
Identification of patients who may benefit from genetic counselling or specialist breast assessment
Ongoing care for women who have completed active treatment for breast cancer
Key responsibilities
Monitoring and management of treatment-related and long-term health effects
Coordination of follow-up imaging, blood tests and specialist reviews
Collaboration with breast surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists and other members of the treating team
Development of personalised breast cancer survivorship care plans
Management of fatigue, pain, hormonal changes, sexual health concerns and cognitive symptoms




Support with treatment-related menopause and premature menopause
Assessment and management of perimenopause and menopause
Menopausal hormone therapy and non-hormonal treatment options, where appropriate
Cardiovascular, metabolic and bone health assessment
Mental health and emotional wellbeing support
About you
A vocationally registered GP with current Australian registration
Experienced in, or interested in developing expertise in, women's health, breast health, menopause, breast medicine or breast cancer survivorship
Committed to evidence-based and compassionate care
Confident assessing breast symptoms and coordinating appropriate investigations
Comfortable discussing screening, family history and breast cancer risk
A strong communicator who values shared decision-making
Comfortable working collaboratively with oncology, breast-care and allied health teams
Dedicated to continuity of care and developing trusted patient relationship
You will have the prospect to:

Provide comprehensive breast health assessments and screening support
Support women through menopause, breast cancer assessment, treatment and recovery
Provide longer-term, relationship-based care
Help patients manage the physical and emotional effects of breast cancer treatment
Work collaboratively with specialist and allied health teams
Deliver proactive, preventive and personalised healthcare
