About the role:
Our host is an industry leader in metal works and fabrication, working on Tier 1 construction projects throughout Sydney. Working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, you will gain practical exposure to engineering documentation, project support, technical reporting, quality processes and engineering operations.
This 24-month traineeship provides an excellent pathway into an engineering career, developing technical knowledge and workplace skills while completing your qualification.
Your duties may include:
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of engineering documentation and records
Interpreting technical drawings, specifications and engineering instructions
Supporting project planning, scheduling and reporting activitiesCollecting, recording and analysing technical data
Assisting with quality assurance and quality control processes
Using CAD and engineering software to support engineering activities
Participating in product testing, inspections and technical evaluations
Maintaining workplace safety standards and following company procedures
Communicating with engineers, production personnel and customers
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
Location:
St Peters, NSW
Work hours:
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm
Duration:
24 months

About you:
Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
Have a genuine interest in engineering and technology
Demonstrate robust attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Possess good written and verbal communication skills
Be comfortable working with computers and technical software
Have the ability to follow procedures and work safely
Be motivated to learn and contribute as part of a team
