Our Brisbane operations are based at our state-of-the-art Lytton facility, which opened in early ****.The RoleWe are seeking experienced MC Interstate Drivers based in Brisbane to provide casual relief when our permanent drivers are on annual leave or sick leave.Work is offered as required, with no guaranteed weekly hours or ongoing roster.
Planned annual leave coverage may be arranged in advance, while sick leave coverage may be offered at short notice.This role suits an experienced driver seeking occasional interstate work who can be flexible with availability.
You will receive weekly pay, with additional payments for loading, unloading and other duties.Rates of Pay – Paid Weekly$0.60 per kilometre$***** per load or unload$***** for splitting trailers$***** for additional drops, when required$***** overnight allowanceAdditional payments for washing your truckAdditional payments for packaged and bulk dangerous goods loading, where appropriately licensedIf you are held over and notified after 12:00 pm,



you will be paid for the dayKey ResponsibilitiesTransport freight safely and efficiently to interstate destinations.Select practical and time-efficient routes.Complete vehicle pre-start inspections and required documentation.Comply with road laws, fatigue-management requirements and company procedures.Ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely and in accordance with customer requirements.Check that all freight is appropriately restrained in accordance with load-restraint guidelines.Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the allocated vehicle.Communicate professionally with customers, operations staff and other drivers.Minimum RequirementsCurrent MC driver's licence.At least five years of interstate driving experience.Availability for casual annual leave and sick leave coverage.Flexibility to accept short-notice work where possible.Robust knowledge of regulated driving hours and work-diary requirements.Experience operating under NHVAS Mass and Maintenance Management requirements.BFM accreditation or experience would be advantageous.Dangerous goods experience and licensing would be advantageous but are not essential.Strong communication skills and professional presentation.A reliable, safety-focused and responsible approach to work.Apply NowRogers Transport takes pride in the cleanliness and presentation of both our fleet and our team.If you are an experienced interstate driver seeking casual relief work, we would like to hear from you.Please include your availability and the notice you generally require when applying.Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
