Our client is an established Tier 2 builder with a strong track record delivering major construction projects across Australia.They are currently growing their Melbourne office, backed by a strong project pipeline and ambitious plans for the Victorian market.
This presents an excellent chance to join the business during an exciting period of growth and play a key role within their expanding Melbourne team.They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major $150million+ development.About the Role:As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, leading the project team while remaining highly hands-on across the day-to-day delivery.This is not a purely high-level management position.
The successful candidate will be comfortable getting into the detail across programme, design, procurement, commercial, subcontractor and construction matters while driving the project through to successful completion.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the project from delivery through to completionManaging programme, budget, quality and project outcomesTaking a hands-on approach to day-to-day project deliveryLeading and coordinating the project and site teamsManaging consultants,



subcontractors and key stakeholdersOverseeing procurement and major trade packagesDriving design coordination and resolving project issuesWorking closely with the commercial team across cost and contractual mattersManaging client relationships and project reportingIdentifying and mitigating programme and delivery risksMaintaining high standards across safety, quality and constructionJob Requirements:To be considered for the role, you will ideally have:10+ years' experience within the construction industrySignificant experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project ManagerStrong experience with a recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 builderExperience delivering major projects valued at $100 million+Ideally, experience across apartments, hotels, student accommodation or similar large-scale developmentsA genuinely hands-on approach with the ability to get into the detail of project deliveryStrong knowledge across programme, design, procurement, commercial and constructionProven ability to lead large project teams and subcontractorsStrong client and stakeholder management skillsExcellent leadership, communication and problem-solving capabilitiesRelevant construction, engineering or building qualificationsLead the delivery of a major $150million+ developmentJoin an established Tier 2 builder during a significant period of Melbourne growthPlay a key role within an expanding Victorian businessStrong pipeline of upcoming Melbourne projectsGenuine long-term career progression as the business growsSenior position with significant project ownership and autonomyCompetitive salary package based on experience
