In this dual-function role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our patients receive exceptional clinical care and outstanding customer service.
You will work closely with our dentists and dental team to maintain the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and practice operations.Key responsibilitiesProvide efficient chairside assistance during dental procedures, including instrument passing, moisture control, and patient comfort managementPrepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocolsTake and record accurate patient notes and treatment recordsManage patient appointments, scheduling, and diary coordinationGreet patients in a professional and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive first impressionHandle patient enquiries via telephone and in person with courtesy and professionalismProcess patient payments and manage billing proceduresMaintain reception area cleanliness and organisationAssist with sterilisation protocols and maintain a hygienic clinical environmentSupport the clinical team with administrative tasks as requiredWhat we're looking forCompleted Dental Nursing qualification or equivalent recognised certificationCurrent CPR certification and First Aid trainingProven experience as a chairside dental nurse in a professional dental practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational and time management abilitiesProficiency with dental practice management software and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work flexibly within a team environmentAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of infection controlKnowledge of dental terminology and clinical proceduresA genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient carePrevious reception experience in a healthcare or dental setting is highly desirableWhat we offerAt DR Dental South Yarra, you'll join a supportive, professional team dedicated to exceptional dental care.
