About the roleWe are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Direct Chemist Outlet Point Cook.
This is a full-time position based in Point Cook VIC ****.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our customers and working collaboratively with our pharmacists and healthcare team.
Your contribution will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence within our pharmacy.What you'll be doingReceiving and stocking pharmacy inventory, including medicines and health products, whilst maintaining proper organisation and stock controlOperating pharmacy POS systems such as POSworks to maintain customer records and process sales transactionsProviding friendly and knowledgeable customer service, offering advice on over-the-counter medications and general health products where appropriateMaintaining a clean, hygienic and protected pharmacy environment in accordance with health and safety standardsSupporting the pharmacist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing and documentationHandling cash and processing payments accuratelyAssisting with pharmacy displays and promotional activitiesWhat we're looking forA relevant qualification or certification to Support the supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines (S2/S3),



or willingness to undertake recognised training and to obtain certificationStrong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in all tasksExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer serviceProficiency with computer systems and pharmacy software, or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologyA solid understanding of health and safety requirements, particularly in a pharmacy environmentReliable, organised and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamProfessional demeanour and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriatelyFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if requiredPrevious retail or healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidateWhat we offerDirect Chemist Outlet Point Cook is committed to supporting the wellbeing and development of our team members.
