Working alongside experienced electrical and mechanical trades personnel, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving essential water and wastewater infrastructure that supports local communities every day.
This hands-on position offers a diverse workload, including maintenance activities, equipment operation, warehouse support, procurement tasks and after-hours maintenance when required.
It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their technical capability and progress their career within the utilities industry.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist qualified tradespeople with mechanical and electrical maintenance activitiesSupport reactive, corrective and scheduled maintenance programsOperate plant, equipment and vehicles safely and effectivelyComplete maintenance records, documentation and data entry requirementsAssist with deliveries, stores,



procurement and warehouse activitiesLiaise with clients and stakeholders regarding operational activitiesPromote safe work practices and participate in continuous improvement initiativesSupport installation, repair and upgrade works across water and wastewater assetsParticipate in after-hours works and emergency response activities as requiredLearn from experienced trades personnel and develop valuable industry skillsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a commitment to working safely.Essential RequirementsCurrent HR or MR Driver LicenceExperience working in a Trade Assistant, maintenance or similar hands-on roleAbility to work safely within operational and industrial environmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to participate in training and ongoing developmentAbility to undertake after-hours work when requiredDesirable Experience & QualificationsExperience within the water or utilities industryExperience supporting mechanical or electrical maintenance activitiesExperience operating HIAB trucksConfined Space Entry certification or experienceNational High Risk Work LicenceExperience completing JSEAs and associated HSE documentationKnowledge of asset maintenance and infrastructure environmentsWhy Join Us?
