You'll work across a broad range of vehicles and equipment as an experienced 4WD / Diesel Mechanic.
This is a senior position requiring the ability to diagnose faults, take ownership of jobs and complete work to a high standard without needing constant supervision.
The work is diverse and often involves genuine fault finding and problem solving, with the opportunity to progress into a Leading Hand / Workshop Supervisor role as the business grows.Key responsibilitiesDiagnose faults across a broad range of vehicles and equipment including Toyota LandCruisers and other 4WDs, diesel and light commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles, trucks and light plantPerform scheduled and preventative maintenanceConduct diagnostic fault findingComplete engine and cooling system repairsPerform driveline and transmission repairsConduct brake and suspension repairsPerform electrical and mechanical fault findingIdentify and rectify defectsConduct vehicle inspectionsComplete general mechanical repairsTake jobs from diagnosis through to completionAbout youRecognised automotive or diesel mechanical trade qualificationStrong practical experienceGood diagnostic and fault-finding abilityExperience with diesel vehicles and/or 4WDsAbility to work independentlyHigh standard of workmanshipReliable and professional attitudeAbout usPMR Diesel is a workshop at Chevallum on the Sunshine Coast with a well-equipped facility featuring multiple hoists and modern diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
