Our client is a well-established and successful organisation based in Melbourne's South East.
With a strong market presence and a complex operational setting, the business is continuing to invest in its technology, systems and processes to support ongoing growth and operational efficiency.
Having recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365, the business is now seeking an experienced Senior Finance Systems Accountant to join the team on an initial 6-month temporary basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, this position will play a critical role in supporting the business following its recent Dynamics 365 implementation, whilst also assisting with several upcoming systems projects and process improvements.
Working closely with Finance, IT and operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective functionality of finance systems, resolving issues and identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing ongoing support, troubleshooting and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365Acting as a key point of contact for finance systems queries and technical issuesSupporting upcoming systems implementations, enhancements and integration projectsConducting user acceptance testing (UAT)



and assisting with system changesReviewing and improving finance processes, reporting and internal controlsWorking closely with IT and external providers to resolve systems-related issuesProviding training and support to finance and operational usersAssisting with budgeting, reporting and broader finance-related projects
Your Background
To be successful in this position, you will be a technically strong finance professional with extensive experience working across finance systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Ideally, you will also bring:
A strong accounting background with CA/CPA qualificationsPrevious experience in a Finance Systems Accountant, Systems Analyst or similar positionExperience supporting ERP implementations, post-implementation improvements and systems projectsStrong understanding of financial processes, reporting and internal controlsAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilitiesExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across finance, IT and operationsA hands-on, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously
