This is a strategic position that plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance and providing critical financial leadership across 24/7 Fuels.
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights that support informed business decision-making.
This role is essential to maintaining our financial health and supporting the company's growth objectives.Key responsibilitiesManaging day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger managementPreparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accountsOverseeing the annual budgeting process and monitoring performance against budget forecastsManaging cash flow forecasting and working capital to ensure optimal liquidityImplementing and maintaining financial controls,



policies and procedures to safeguard company assetsReconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variancesLiaising with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and tax obligationsPreparing financial reports and presenting key findings to senior management and stakeholdersManaging the finance team, including recruitment, training, mentoring and performance managementIdentifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing systems to enhance financial efficiencySupporting strategic planning by providing financial analysis and forecastingWhat we're looking forA qualification in accounting or finance (such as CA, CPA or equivalent skilled certification)Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a finance management or controller role within a commercial business environmentHistory in the use of Fuel Companion or any fuel accounting softwareStrong proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems; experience with ERP systems is advantageousAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modellingDemonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis and reportingSolid understanding of audit requirements and financial compliance standardsProven ability to manage and develop finance team membersStrong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keepingExperience in the fuel, logistics or distribution industry would be highly valuableA proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
