We'reseeking a dedicated Payroll Officer for alarge and successful national business, joininga friendly head office team.You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and between you will pay around 600 staff on a weekly basis.What you'll be doingProcessing weekly wages accurately and on timeInterpreting awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts to apply the correct leave entitlements, overtime and allowancesAssisting with workers compensation payments and reconciliationsCompleting payments and monthly reconciliations for payroll, superannuation, payroll deductions and PAYGCalculating and maintaining leave accrual recordsSetting up current employees and timesheets, and keeping payroll records up to datePreparing statistics, reports and forecasts for Payroll, Safety, HR and OperationsBeing the go-to contact for employees and managers on payroll enquiriesSupporting year-end processes, including payment summaries and STP finalisationHelping with audits, and suggesting improvements to payroll processesWhat you'll bring2+ years' payroll experienceExperience with recognised payroll systems such as Micropay, Chris21, Aurion.A strong understanding of awards, agreements and relevant legislation, including the National Employment Standards,
