Talent Finance are partnering with a key international client to appoint an experienced Financial Controller for its Sydney operation.The opportunityThis is a broad, hands on role offering genuine ownership of the finance function in Australia and the opportunity to play a key part in how it develops moving forward.Working closely with senior leadership in Australia and an international Group Finance team based in the UK, you will take ownership across financial reporting, controls, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and compliance, while providing the commercial insight needed to support key business decisions.There is also a real opportunity to shape and develop the finance function, strengthen processes and controls and establish a robust financial framework to support the continued growth of the Australian business.The roleKey responsibilities will include:Leading monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reportingDeveloping and maintaining strong financial controls, processes and proceduresManaging cash flow forecasting, liquidity and working capitalDelivering management information, KPI and Group reportingLeading budgets, forecasts and longer term financial planningProviding financial analysis, scenario modelling and commercial insightManaging Australian statutory reporting,



audit and tax requirementsPartnering closely with senior operational leadershipSupporting commercial and investment decisionsDriving continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and systemsWhat we're looking forYou will be a qualified accountant, ideally CA ANZ, ACA, ACCA or equivalent, with strong experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or in a similar senior finance role.You will bring:Strong knowledge of Australian financial reporting, taxation and complianceExperience across audit, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecastingStrong financial modelling and analytical capabilityExperience within an international or multi entity environmentA commercial mindset and confidence working with senior stakeholdersA hands on approach and willingness to get into the detailA track record of improving finance processes and controlsExperience within engineering, manufacturing, technology or another project led setting would be advantageous, although we are open on sector.What's on offerSalary: A$180,000 to A$195,000 + superLocation: Sydney, NSWContract: PermanentFor someone who enjoys building, improving and taking ownership rather than simply maintaining an established finance function, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity.Talent Finance is committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, religion, sex or sexual orientation.
