Our client's operating performance, combined with strong commodity prices, delivered record financial results in ****, and the company carries no debt.Purpose of the PositionThe Mining Manager is responsible for ensuring that all operational and maintenance functions and activities of the underground department are planned and executed to contribute to the achievement of the department's KPIs.
The role also ensures site and department targets are met in a safe, productive manner,



in accordance with company standards and in full compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate full compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System standards by participating in initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations and training, assisting with implementation, and contributing to audits within the mineManage performance for all direct reportsProvide clarity, guidance and consistency to the underground operation by setting clear and achievable objectives within agreed budget parametersManage all technical and commercial aspects of the underground operation by monitoring and addressing achievement against planned goals and objectivesControl underground operational activities by approving plans, reviewing and reporting against benchmarks, and adjusting plans when requiredThe CandidateBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining)WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency10+ years' experience in an underground or open pit environment5 years in an operational supervisory roleSound knowledge of underground and open pit mining methods
