Financial Manager – Lead Finance for a Growing Australian BrandThe Financial Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing all financial operations for Solatube Australia and providing oversight to Solatube Home and other associated business.
This position combines hands-on accounting with strategic financial management and plays a critical role in supporting the Managing Director.The Financial Manager will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all financial processes, deliver high-quality reporting, optimise Syspro ERP performance, and provide commercial insights that support solid decision-making.
The role also leads one Accounts/Finance Officer and partners closely with operational teams across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ControlsOversee all day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, bank reconcilations, general ledger, BAS, PAYG and super complianceManage timely and accurate month-end and year-end processesMaintain stock control, costing, margin reporting, and inventory accuracy through SysproPrepare and review financial statements, management reports, and statutory reportsManage cash flow forecasting and cash requirementsMaintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedulesLeadership & People ManagementSupervise and support the Accounts/Finance OfficerProvide coaching, mentoring, and performance guidanceEnsure smooth workflow across the finance department and alignment with company policiesOversight of Other Business UnitsReview financial reporting for other business and ensure consistency with group standardsAssess and guide bookkeeping accuracy,



cash flow reporting, and P&L; performanceProvide strategic financial insights and periodic performance reviews for an associated businessSystems, Processes & Syspro ERPAct as the Syspro finance system leadEnsure accuracy of financial, sales, and inventory dataIdentify process gaps and implement system improvementsLiaise with external Syspro consultants for system updates or reporting enhancementsReporting, Compliance & Strategic SupportPrepare monthly management reports and KPI dashboardsEnsure compliance with all statutory obligations (ATO, ASIC, Workers Comp, insurance, etc.)Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planningProvide commercial insights into pricing, cost control, and capital expenditureAssist with modelling, scenario analysis, and business performance monitoringSkills & CompetenciesStrong technical accounting knowledgeHigh attention to detail with accuracy under deadlinesAdvanced Syspro ERP and Microsoft Excel skillsEffective communication with financial and non-financial stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a small finance teamProactive approach with continuous improvement mindsetQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or CommerceCPA/CA qualification preferred but not essential7–10 years' experience in senior accounting or financial management rolesExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or construction highly desirableHands-on experience with Syspro or similar ERP systemsDemonstrated ability to work independently and confidently in a leadership position
