DCM Building Co is looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position of Carpenter.
The role involves constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures using hand tools and power tools, working with timber and related materials.Key responsibilitiesConstruct, erect, install and repair structures of wood, plywood and wallboard, using carpenters hand tools and power toolsInstall timber frameworksRead and interpret technical drawingsMeasure, cut and shape timberIdentify defects and perform repairsConstruct formworkIdentify required materials, along with placing orders and selecting materialsAbout youAt least 2 years experience in a similar role with a solid understanding of the construction industryExcellent attitude to work and professional at all timesThe ability to liaise confidently with other trades people and company contactsA 'can do, get it right first time' attitudeBe consistent and able to work well in a teamBe able to perform well under pressure and to tight deadlines
