About the Role
This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Shoalhaven Community & Recreation Precinct (SCaRP), including Artie Smith Oval, the Croquet Club and Indoor Sports Centre grounds.
You'll lead a small team responsible for turf and grounds maintenance, sports field presentation and precinct operations, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard for the community.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising day-to-day grounds and precinct operationsPreparing and maintaining turf cricket wickets and sports turf areasDeveloping and implementing annual turf management programsOverseeing irrigation, machinery maintenance and pest control activitiesEnsuring Council assets are maintained to a high standard within available resourcesOperating specialised plant and equipment safely and effectivelyDelivering high-quality services in line with established standards and programs

Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
Trade Certificate in Sports Turf Management or Equivalent QualificationCurrent White Card - General Construction Induction Card (Safework NSW)MR licencePrevious experience as a Curator or in Sports Turf ManagementCurrent Class C Driver's LicenceProof of right to work in Australia
