This role plays a key part in driving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and creating continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.
The Production Manager will ensure smooth day-to-day operations by overseeing production schedules, workflow optimisation, and staff development while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, this role will contribute to the company's long-term growth and success by implementing best practices, driving process improvements, and supporting the professional development of both experienced and new production staff.Key Duties / Responsibilities:Production Management & Operational EfficiencyActively drive 5S production efficiency and productivity to ensure production KPI's are achievedOversee daily production operations, ensuring output meets quality, cost, and delivery targetsImplement and monitor production schedules to maximise resource utilisationIdentify and resolve production blockages, inefficiencies, and technical challengesOptimise workflow processes to reduce downtime and increase outputEnsure proper maintenance and upkeep of production equipment to minimise disruptionsLeadership & Team DevelopmentProvide strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching to production staff, creating a high-performance cultureDevelop and implement training programs to enhance skills and efficiency across the production teamEncourage teamwork and communication across all production departmentsConduct performance evaluations and implement staff development plans to support career growthSafety,



Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure strict adherence to Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations and company policiesContribute to improving the safety and environmental culture through active leadership, participation, and compliance with safety initiativesImplement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and safety risksConduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actionsProcess Improvement & Quality ControlDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product qualityWork closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high product standards and compliance with industry regulationsLead problem-solving initiatives to address defects, inefficiencies, and operational challengesUtilise data-driven decision-making to implement process improvements and optimise production performanceStakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with senior management to align production strategies with company goalsCollaborate with planning, design, warranty, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes and product qualityCommunicate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and componentsProvide regular production reports and updates to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-makingWhat we are looking forPrevious people management experience and skills including conflict resolution is crucialGood working knowledge of Microsoft products: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPointSafety conscientious, ALWAYSExperience in the Caravan industry is highly desirableOutstanding problem-solving skills, no job is too bigAbility to adapt to a changing environmentLoves to work in a teamOrganising, prioritising,
