With a solid pipeline of work, the business is seeking an experienced Production Manager or Workshop Manager to lead its Gold Coast workshop operations.About the roleThis is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the day-to-day performance of the fabrication workshop.
You will manage workshop personnel, production schedules, quality, safety and compliance while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to specification.Key responsibilities:Manage daily structural steel fabrication and welding operationsSupervise boilermakers, welders, fabricators and workshop personnelPlan workloads, labour requirements and production schedulesMonitor productivity, workflow, deadlines and project prioritiesMaintain welding quality,



documentation and fabrication standardsImplement management and administrative processesConduct compliance audits and maintain accurate recordsEnsure WHS, QA and company procedures are followedCoordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors and deliveriesLiaise with project managers, drafting, site and senior managementIdentify production issues and implement practical improvementsIdeal skills and experience:15+ years' experience within structural steel fabricationStrong experience managing or a steel fabrication workshopWelding Supervisor certificationCertificate in Engineering, Fabrication or a related disciplineSound knowledge of welding, fabrication and structural steel standardsStrong production planning and people-management capabilitiesExperience management systems, admin and compliance auditingStrong understanding of workplace health, safety and quality assuranceInterpret workshop drawings and fabrication documentationAt Found People, we treat all applications with strict confidentiality.Speak to a Foundie about this job and other jobs like this at************.
