This is an excellent opportunity to take on a pivotal position within our growing accounting and corporate advisory practice, based in Austral, NSW.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality financial services to our diverse client portfolio, whilst also contributing to the strategic growth and operational excellence of our firm.
This role offers significant scope for professional development and the opportunity to mentor junior team members as you progress.What you'll be doingPrepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and accounting records for clients across various industriesConduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to support client business decision-makingManage complex accounting matters including journal entries, reconciliations, and account managementLiaise with clients to gather financial information, clarify accounting matters, and ensure compliance with reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation legislation, and regulatory requirementsSupport the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresAssist with audit and review engagements, working alongside audit teams as requiredMentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff,



fostering their professional developmentContribute to business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationshipsUtilise accounting software and systems efficiently to streamline processes and improve accuracyWhat we're looking forA relevant accounting qualification such as a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent skilled qualificationProfessional membership or progress towards membership with a recognised accounting body, such as CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA)Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or corporate advisory rolesDemonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and accounting standardsStrong knowledge of Australian taxation law and corporate compliance requirementsProficiency with accounting software, spreadsheet applications, and financial analysis toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to clients and colleaguesProven ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated leadership capability and experience mentoring or supervising junior staffA proactive approach to continuing professional development and staying current with industry changesWhat we offerAt Synergised Pty Ltd, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing and professional growth of our team members.
